On behalf of the entire golf club, we are delighted to extend a warm welcome to each of you as we embark on another exciting year together at Surbiton Golf Club. As your Captains for this season, we are honoured to lead and represent our wonderful community of golfers, and we’re committed to making this year truly memorable.
We look forward to working alongside you to create an environment where everyone, whether a seasoned player or a beginner, can enjoy the game, forge new friendships, and continue to improve their skills. Together, we’ll celebrate the rich tradition of our club and the club's 130th birthday, while embracing new ideas and opportunities to make the most of our time on and off the course.
This year promises to be filled with exciting tournaments, social events, and a renewed focus on enhancing the overall experience for our members. We encourage you to participate in these events, whether it's for friendly competition, a chance to socialise, or simply to enjoy a round of golf in good company.
As Captains, we are here to listen to your feedback, ideas, and suggestions. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels valued and included, no matter their level of play. Let’s all work together to maintain the friendly, inclusive spirit that makes our golf club such a special place.

2025 CHARITY
This year the Captains' chosen charity is Surbiton YMCA.
We have chosen a local charity in Surbiton YMCA where funds raised will go towards helping young people (typically 16-25 years old) who find themselves homeless through no fault of their own.
We will be working in conjunction with LandAid whose goal is to end youth homelessness in the UK

CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
Every year, our current Captains 'putt out' and the new Captains 'drive in'. A big thank you to Andy Rowe, Meriel Tanner-Bateman and Josh Baines for their leadership in 2024 as well as their incredible fundraising efforts which saw over £48,000 donated to Shooting Star Children's Hospices. We’re excited to take the helm this year and some highlights of the day can be found below.
